What makes the Intelligence Integration program unique and different from other programs that treat difficulties with learning, concentration and behaviour? Before I answer that, I think it is important to take a look at the 3 main principles that underpin the program. These principles hold significant value when looked at from the point of view of neural network function as the primary source of difficulties or deficits in learning, concentration and behaviour control. When a person’s basic neural network is not sufficiently formed, the amount of effort that one needs to exert in trying to put any given system to work is much greater than it needs to be. Based on what we refer to as poor physical integration’ insufficient or undeveloped neural networking can not only prove frustrating for the person, but also causes muscular tension, and other possible side effects such as aggression, impulsiveness, excitability and avoidance. Due to the decrease in the level of oxygen in the body and brain, the person will inevitably lose the ability to focus.
Considering the fact that the majority of symptoms mentioned above are symptoms associated with ADD, ADHD and other various learning, behavioural, or emotional disorders.
Learning = the formation and development of a neural
network through practice.
Knowledge = a functional neural network that provides the
ability to carry out what has been strengthened, developed,
or formed as a result of the learning process.
THE 3 MAIN PRINCIPLES
1. LEARNING, CONCENTRATION and BEHAVIOUR occur as a result of how the BODY does (or does not) FUNCTION.
2. The BODY has the ABILITY to DEVELOP the BRAIN’S NEURAL NETWORKS through PHYSICAL practice.
3. Better NEURAL NETWORKS allows for better OVERALL FUNCTIONING.
Now, why is Intelligence Integration program different and unique? Because it recognizes and aims to aline the four types of Intelligences that reside in all human-beings giving us the opportunity to experience our full potential in life.
The four main intelligences found in human beings. These
are the following:
1. Physical intelligence
2. Emotional intelligence
3. Cognitive intelligence
4. Energetic intelligence
Each intelligence type is comprised of subsystems. An individual’s overall potential at any given time throughout life is most often determined by the level of integration between these intelligences. Each intelligence type is a unique system, and each system can be evaluated with its own tools. As a unique tool in itself, Intelligence Integration allows us to evaluate how well these four intelligences a) operate as individual systems, and b) coordinate as one system. The entire method is centered on this principle both in theory and practice. Once an evaluation of the coordinative functioning of the intelligences is made, the method’s exercises help to increase the brain and body’s integrative functioning.
The physical intelligence is the primary intelligence—the basis of our existence—and as a result, it is also the source of most of our difficulties in life and learning. Using our bodies, we carry out actions, process sensations, identify and express emotions, use cognition, and increase or decrease our level of energetic awareness. Therefore, Intelligence Integration is referred to as “the physical foundation of learning” because it looks to the body as the primary source of a person’s overall life quality. When the four main intelligences begin to coordinate smoothly and efficiently through training and neural network development, the person becomes free to utilize the energy he otherwise would have used in facing what are most often resolvable obstacles to his potential. In most cases, his abilities increase in each of the four intelligences.
By focusing on the body as the primary source of a person’s difficulties, Intelligence Integration program addresses the deficit from the inside (core reason) moving away from the outside (symptoms).
